Product Introduction The Sontek XA Mechanical Seal is a factory-assembled, pre-set sealing unit designed for centrifugal pumps and rotating equipment. XA Mechanical Seal is a single, unbalanced mechanical seal used in pumps and rotating equipment to prevent leakage of fluid along the shaft. It works by pressing a rotating seal face and a stationary seal face together, creating a tight sealing surface. Springs and secondary seals (such as O-rings) maintain contact between the faces and ensure proper sealing. XA mechanical seals are commonly used in centrifugal pumps, water systems, and light chemical applications because of their simple design, reliability, and easy maintenance. Main Components Rotary Face – Attached to the rotating shaft and rotates with it. Stationary Face (Seat) – Fixed in the seal housing and does not rotate.
